Kyrgios confirms sad news as grandmother has passed away

Nick Kyrgios is not enjoying life very much right now as he was forced to withdraw from Roland Garros due to his knee surgery earlier as well as dealing with the death of a family members.

The Australian took to social media to confirm that his grandmother has passed away. He was close with his grandmother and he wrote on Instagram:

"Seems like I can't catch a break right now,' he posted. 'RIP Yiayia, the best we could ask for. Go enjoy your time with Papou now."

It comes after reports earlier today that he withdrew from Roland Garros as he still doesn't know when he will make a return to tennis. He missed the majority of this year due to a knee surgery earlier this year.
