The 2023
Rome Open continues with the 9th day and a packed schedule that includes
appearances from
Novak Djokovic,
Iga Swiatek,
Jannik Sinner, and

Rome Open experienced some rain-related suspensions on the 8th day of
competition, which led to the postponement of several matches, including some
that had already started: Tsitsipas vs Sonego (6-3, 0-0), Wolf vs Zverev (4-6,
3-3), Mussetti vs Tiafoe (5-7, 6-4, 2-1).
The world
No. 1 Novak Djokovic (against Norrie) will also take the court, and local
player Sinner will seek to continue his streak in Italy by facing Cerundolo,
while Medvedev awaits the winner of Wolf/Zverev.
On the
women's side, world No. 1 Iga Swiatek (against Vekic) and Paula Badosa (against Muchova)
will play, and the semifinalists from the bottom half of the draw will be
determined in the matches between Kudermetova/Zheng and Haddad Maia/Kalinina.
The winners will face each other on Friday to secure a spot in the final.
