Nick Kyrgios and
Andy Murray was set to be the star attraction on Sunday evening at the
Winston-Salem Open but as the duo were due onto court in the ATP 250, the Aussie ace withdrew.
Kyrgios did not play in Cincinnati choosing to continue his preparation at Winston-Salem after losing in the opening round in Toronto and Washington to Reilly Opelka and Mackenzie McDonald.
This after his return to action at the Atlanta Open following his Wimbledon injury withdrawal with a second round defeat to Cameron Norrie.
But a left knee injury has seemingly been cited as the reason for Kyrgios pulling out, Murray should be facing a lucky loser but the late confusion has meant that is unknown when it will start and spectators have yet to be informed of the change.
