Fans reacted to the latest clip of Andrey Rublev at the ATP Finals in Turin, when he discreetly went down from his hotel late at night to pick up a fast-food order.
The Russian is set to make his tournament debut this Monday against World No. 2 Alexander Zverev, with whom he has a 3-6 head-to-head record. They face each other a year after their last match in the same tournament, where ‘Sascha’ won in straight sets.
World No. 9 Rublev recently competed at the Moselle Open, aiming to secure his place in the ATP Finals by earning a few final points. However, news came of Novak Djokovic's withdrawal due to injury, which secured Rublev’s place in the Finals, prompting him to withdraw from his quarterfinal match against local favorite Corentin Moutet in France.
All set to debut in the ATP Finals, the 27-year-old Russian was spotted below his hotel in Turin receiving a food order. A TikTok user captured the clip without the tennis player noticing, and it quickly spread across social media.
“Sneaky Rublev ordering some food at night in Turin, he is just like us 🍔😂,” one user posted on X after the TikTok video went viral, prompting funny fan responses.
“HAHAHAHAH he’s so real for this 😭❤️🤣," one fan wrote. "And he even picked it up himself, not sending someone in his place,” commented another.
