Croatian veteran tennis player
Marin Cilic has responded to
a cryptic post on social from his account. The was a mysterious post that appeared on the account of the 35-year-old
on the social media platform X — previously known as Twitter — on February 25.
Cilic was quick to respond to that in a post a few hours later
where he stated that the earlier post was done by his two-year-old son who wanted
to share his thoughts. "Haha apologies, my little 2y old wanted to share
his thoughts on X," he wrote.
Cilic had a difficult beginning to his 2024 campaign. In the
first Grand Slam of the year—the Australian Open—he was knocked out after
losing in the first round to Fabian Marozsan with a score of 6-1, 2-6, 6-2, 7-5.
Later, Cilic also crashed out of the Argentina Open
after losing in the round of 32 to Laslo Djere with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-0.
The Medugorje-born, in an interaction with the fans on X, also
confirmed that he will not going to be taking part in the upcoming event in
Indiana Wells.
"Unfortunately not, doing rehab back at home," he
said when asked whether he would be available to take part in the event.
