Murray amazes once more in Doha with win over Muller

Andy Murray started slowly against Muller but the British player quickly found a rhythm and then smashed his opponent in the next two to win the match.

Murray scored a huge win over Alexander Zverev in the previous round but it was a match that lasted three hours. He felt some of that fatigue today but he managed to let go of it once he got properly warm. He opened the match well jumping out to a 2-0 lead but then fell behind 2-4 as Muller started hitting some incredible shots.

Despite heavy pressure from Murray, Muller was able to hold his serve and win the opening set 6-4. The second set was very impressive from Murray as he upped his level even more and patiently waited for his chance. It came pretty early and things snowballed out of control from there as he quickly took the set 6-1.

The final set was very similar in that regard because Murray managed to once again take an early lead and he then added another break to it. Muller simply did not have the same level and his confidence dropped off as the match went on. Overall a very strong effort from Murray albeit taxing on the body once again.
