Murray and Kenin receive BNP Paribas Open Indian Wells wild cards

The BNP Paribas Open is about a week away starting on March 10th and Andy Murray and Sofia Kenin will play at the event thanks to getting wild cards.

Andy Murray and Sofia Kenin are both far away from their career-best rankings and to avoid having to play qualifiers for the huge tennis event in Indian Wells, the organizers elected to award them wild card entries into the event. For Murray, it's the 2nd wild card into the event in a row after he was awarded one a couple of months ago.

Kenin did not play the last time the event was being held due to an injury and this will be her return to the event. Kenin has been struggling this year having a 2-5 record on the year which caused her to drop in the rankings and is currently ranked 89th in the world.

The event begins on March 10th and will run till March 20th.
