Murray has fond memories ahead of return to Swiss Indoors Basel: "It's actually the week me and my wife became a couple for the first time"

Andy Murray has been coupled up for many years and coming back to Basel made him remember a very special moment.
Andy Muray has been with his wife Kim Sears for a long time as the couple actually started dating in 2005. Since then it's been 17 years and in all those years, Murray avoided Basel. He occasionally opted for other events but mostly prepared for the Paris Masters instead.
For the first time since 2005, Murray headed back to Basel and he remembered a special moment that happened at that event in 2005. Asked about his fondest memory of the event, Murray shared a story about how he and Kim made it official many years ago:
"I have some memories from that week. One, it’s actually the week when me and my wife became a couple for the first time. We met at the US Open and then we went on a couple of date since then and I asked the question, when we were in Basel, ‘are we a couple now, like officially?'"
He was asked whether Kim was in Basel and he responded:
"She didn’t come here. This was done over MSN Messenger, which was how the youngsters communicated in those days!"
