Nobody should question Andy Murray's dedication to tennis and it's clearly shown in how well he remembers some pivotal moments of his career.
Following his win in Doha, Murray was asked to participate in some Andy Murray trivia and he happily obliged. The Brit was asked if he remembered his first quarter-final win and he did. It was a win in the 2005 Bankgok event where he would make the final and ultimately lose to Roger Federer.
Asked about it, Murray said:
"Let me think, I'm gonna say my first ever tour level quarterfinal was in Bangkok is that right? Let me see was it Paradorn Srichaphan? (Robby) Ginepri? I lost to Federer in the final I remember that one."
It was impressive memory although he didn't go the player right. He did however remember losing to Federer in the final. Not a surprise he remembers that one but he got his revenge a few times.
He will now contest the 2023 Doha Final, 18 years after that one.
