Krejcikova continues excellent week in Dubai, sets up final against Swiatek

Barbora Krejcikova will play Iga Swiatek in the Dubai final as she defeated Jessica Pegula in the semifinal 6-1 5-7 6-0 to continue an excellent week.

Nobody saw a week like this coming from Krejcikova but she's playing some of the best tennis she played in the last year and more. She defeated Sabalenka in the previous round and it was a pretty convincing win with this one being of that status as well. She smashed Pegula in the opening set 6-1 hitting the ball really well.

Pegula could not stay in the rallies at all in the first set but she did manage to do so in the second set. She still had to save multiple break point to hold but eventually, she was able to win the set 7-5. The final set was supposed to be a great one but it really wasn't. It was great for Krejcikova because she rolled past Pegula 6-0 but it wasn't what fans expected.

Still the final will feature the two best players of the previous week. Krejcikov and Swiatek have been the best and they will contest the final.
