Former world number one
Andy Murray’s hilarious response on social
media about Eurovision performance left the fans amused. The 36-year-old is
often regarded as one of the best players to have come from Britain and is also
famous for being expressive about different things.
Murray, in a post on his official account on the social
media platform X — previously known as Twitter — wrote a hilarious comment about
the performance during the Eurovision on BBC1. “Is there a chap on stage with
his Boaby out at the Eurovision? Didn’t expect to see that on BBC1,” he wrote.
That comment gained a lot of attention from the fans who posted some
interesting comments in response as well. Top marks @andy_murray for
introducing ‘Boaby’ to the wider populace!!,” one fan wrote. “@andy_murray has
won the internet tonight!,” another one wrote.
Others said that Murray should be a Eurovision commentator from now on as well as that it made their day. Usually known for jibing
Liam Broady, his fellow compatriot, he is well known for his great humour and as it showed again. A Eurovision with a lot of talking points and one in which Murray had an unexpected crossover with his hilarious reactions.
Murray, who has struggled with fitness concerns throughout
his career, has been out of action since March because of an ankle injury. It
has been reported in a the recent past that the three-time Grand Slam winner
will be taking part in the Challengers event in Bordeaux. After that, Murray is
expected to take part in an ATP event in Geneva to prepare for the
French Open. It will be his first clay court action for some years. He usually attempts to dictate pace going into
Wimbledon on a preferred surface. But given it is likely his farewell, it is not unexpected that he is going this route.
