Canadian tennis star Felix Auger-Aliassime opened up about the concerns regarding his slump and form after his first round win at the 2023 Cincinnati Open.
Following a streak of five consecutive first round losses, Auger Aliassime finally got back in the winner's circle after defeating Matteo Berrettini in a tight opening round clash in Cincinnati.
Auger-Aliassime hoping to capitalize on momentum as self-belief returns
The World No.14 revealed he was aware of the flak he had received from the public following his recent slump in form, but stated he would remain positive.
"There’s comments right and left, but at the end of the day I know my tennis didn’t leave me," he admitted. "I know I can still play great tennis and I’ve proved it today again. So I’m going to try to keep going that way and it’s a positive start. Let’s try to keep this rolling."
