Nick Kyrgios and Venus Williams win their first doubles match at Wimbledon

Nick Kyrgios and Venus Williams have won their first Wimbledon doubles match over Krajicek and Santamaria 6-3 3-6 7-5.

Nick Kyrgios sparked many stories a few days ago when he posted on Twitter that he was looking for a doubles partner. Many speculated on the name and ultimately it was revealed to be Venus Williams. Today they played their first match together and they defeated Krajicek and Santamaria.

It was a very fun match and a very curious doubles pairing. Both Kyrgios and Venus possess a monster serve and it worked to perfection early. They were impossible to break and returned great winning the first set 6-3. The 2nd set was not played so well and ultimately it was Venus that served in the game they got broken.

They came out focused in the third but allowed themselves to get broken when leading to 40-0. Once again it was Venus who served in that game but they pulled it right back. From there the pairs traded games until 5-5. Kyrgios and Williams saved several break points in that game.

In the very next game, they had break points which were match points and they used them to seal the deal. A very intriguing doubles pair that can go far if they take it seriously. Today they did.
