Nick Kyrgios is very much not Jannik Sinner's biggest fan after the World No.1 tested positive for the banned substance Clostebol with the narrative being in the mind of the Australian that he was protected. But once upon a time, he was a fan as a clip resurfaced of him praising the World No.1.

Sinner tested positive for the banned substance last year during his Indian Wells campaign. He overturned his provisional suspension by proving the substance entered his system unintentionally.

After an investigation, it was found that he was cleared of wrongdoing by the ITIA and was allowed to compete. However this gave Kyrgios repeated ammunition opportunities.

The Aussie has repeatedly targeted Sinner on social media and other platforms after previously calling him his favourite player. As a result of this video finding the light of day, Kyrgios answered the question by the fan about it.

"This was before he was found with roids in his system," he wrote.

It is not over though for Sinner who will appear before CAS in April. His hearing is set for April 16-17 for his doping case and he could be banned for up to two years. The Aussie has often floated the idea around of facing Sinner and getting the crowd on his back.

He also decidingly tried to take jibes at Sinner starting a YouTube channel and has been a constant thorn in the side of the Italian. Others such as Iga Swiatek have received criticism but not as much. He also singled Max Purcell out for not receiving it as in the mind of the Aussie, he admitted to wrongdoing so can be absolved of it as he held his hands up immediately.

Kyrgios has maintained throughout that it is not personal and he doesn't hold a vendetta against Sinner but others see it differently.
