"Not having a crack, relax": Kokkinakis denies shooting his shot with Rybakina after describing her as 'nicest girl ever'

Thanasi Kokkinakis described Elena Rybakina as the nicest girl ever following her Indian Wells triumph over Aryna Sabalenka and he had to clarify some things after that.

Rybakina won her maiden WTA 1000 trophy on Sunday beating Aryna Sabalenka in the final and Kokkinakis praised the player with some very kind words on Twitter.

Fans reacted in various ways to his comments with some even suggesting that he was 'shooting his shot' with her but he had to come out and clarify that that wasn't the case.

He responded with another tweet:

"Not having a crack, relaaaax."

He wasn't the only player who made a similar comment on Rybakina as Sabalenka praised her as a nice girl as well following the final.
