Tennis legend Martina Navratilova has beaten breast and throat cancer in some great news announced on Monday evening after previous fears from her that she wouldn't see next Christmas after a double diagnosis.
Speaking in an emotional interview with Piers Morgan, she revealed the good news after it was previously confirmed last week that her and wife Julia Lemigova had put plans on hold to adopt a child.
As well as confirming that they had drawn up a bucket list of things she wanted to do before she dies allaying those previous fears.
The fears got to the point that she was going to stop treatment but speaking on the TalkTV interview, she said that she has two weeks of treatment and then she will be 'good to go'.
“I was in a total panic for three days thinking I may not see next Christmas," she said as part of the interview which will air tomorrow.
“The bucket list came into my mind of all the things I wanted to do.
“And this may sound really shallow, but I was like, okay, ‘Which kick ass car do I really want to drive if I live like a year?’"
