Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz to headline US Open exhibition match

Serbia’s legendary tennis star Novak Djokovic and Spain’s Carlos
Alcaraz will play a doubles exhibition match at the US Open. The fourth and final Grand Slam of the year will begin on August 26, and players from
all over the world will participate to showcase their talent at the highest level
and secure the ultimate prize.
Ahead of the mega-event, a blockbuster doubles exhibition match will take place at the Flashing Meadows on August 21. The match will feature two of the biggest stars in men’s tennis currently: Djokovic and Alcaraz. Serbia’s legendary tennis star will partner former world number one John McEnroe, whereas the young Spaniard will partner legendary
American tennis star Andre Agassi.
Djokovic remains the most successful player in the history
of men’s tennis in the singles category in the Open era, having won as many as
24 Grand Slam titles in his illustrious career. The Belgrade-born star will be
coming into the contest after winning the gold medal at the Parsi Olympics after beating Spain’s Alcaraz in the final in straight sets, 7-6, 7-6.
On the other hand, Alcaraz is perhaps the most highly-rated
young tennis player currently playing in men’s tennis. He has won four Grand
Slams in his illustrious career. Two of those victories came this year. He
lifted the French Open after beating Germany’s Alexander Zverev in a five-set
thriller with a score of 6–3, 2–6, 5–7, 6–1, 6–2. He then lifted the Wimbledon
title after beating Djokovic in straight sets with a score of 6-2, 6-2, 7-6.
McEnroe, who retired from tennis in 2006, ended his career
after winning seven Grand Slam titles. Agassi, on the other hand, retired from the sport in 2006 as well, finishing his career with eight Grand Slam titles in his illustrious career.

- This needs to be done, and I think Jessica Pegula is an excellent choice for chair to look into the situation. However, a very brief look at the other members of the panel would suggest a very USA heavy contingent. The group needs to represent all interests, not just turn it into a way the US can screw more money out of an already biased calendar.

- Why single out Iga and Aryna to punish?, Since when do players get punish because they withdraw from tournaments? Maybe if they both were treated like number one and two players, they would not have this problem. The WTA discriminates against them because of their nationalities, yet they want to make money off them. Every tournament, Iga has harder draws than qualifiers from the beginning to the end. In the Australian Open they stuck Aryna out in the sun the majority of her matches in order to tire her out. She is the number one player in the world and she never got the opportunity to play with the roof closed. If they want these top players to continue playing and making money for them, then they should treat them as such. Otherwise, get the players who they are always giving out cupcake draws to like Pegula to play their tournaments. Lets see how many seats in the audience she will fill. Iga has more fans in the seats than any player in the WTA, yet she is always disrespected and mistreated because of her nationality. The WTA is a corrupt, bias and racist organization. No matter what job someone is on, you cannot tell them that they are not sick or injured.
