Novak Djokovic is set to return to the
Australian Open and Chief Craig Tiley warned against fans creating a bad atmosphere as they will be kicked out.
Novak Djokovic is expected to make a return to Melbourne and many wonder whether there will be any kind of discourse. The Serbian didn't have a very warm welcome last year as public opinion was quite negative. It's a bit better this year but Tiley warned against any fans disrupting the event:
"If they disrupt the enjoyment of anyone else – boom, they are out. We don't want them on site. They can stay away or we will kick them out."
Tiley also revealed that he talked to Djokovic:
"We have spoken a fair bit over the past week and he really enjoyed his experience in South Australia. Our sporting fans are among the most educated in the world. They appreciate greatness. I'm pretty confident that the fans of Melbourne, similar to the experience that he had in Adelaide, will be just as good."
