In a lengthy written Instagram post, Djokovic addressed some of the things that left many people confused in the past few weeks. On the matter of testing, positive Djokovic admitted to not being aware of a positive test when he spent time maskless with children around. Djokovic only found out about the positive test after that and self-isolated immediately.
He did a careless thing during the L'Equipe photoshoot not long after that admitting that he was aware of his positive diagnosis when it was held. Djokovic however wore his mask the entire time taking it off only to take a few snapshots. He also addressed applying for the wrong type of visa calling it '“human error and certainly not deliberate.”
He ultimately finished up by saying that this would be the only time he would be addressing the situation indicating that all his focus was on tennis. Not long after that he was spotted practising in the Rod Laver Arena.
