Novak Djokovic could possibly miss the ATP Finals in Turin

Novak Djokovic missed plenty of events this year and it seems like he might miss the ATP Finals in Turin as well.

A place at the ATP Finals is earned every year with the way you perform on the courts that year. It's not an invitation event based on your status and Novak Djokovic might miss it this year. When the Serbian played, he certainly played like a player worthy of the ATP Finals but he simply did not play that much overall. He missed three ATP 1000 events in the US, he missed the one in Canada as well.

He didn't play in Australia, he didn't play at the US Open and the few events he did play did not accumulate enough points for him to be ranked in the top 8 of the ATP Race as of now. He's currently 15th in the race and in a tricky position.

There are not many events with a lot of points left and the one that might be crucial for his chance to find a place in Turin is the Paris Masters. He won that event last year so there is a solid chance he might do it again. Djokovic himself will play a couple of smaller events as well with his appearance in Tel Aviv already confirmed.
