Another day and another crushing Djokovic win as the Serbian cruised past
Botic van de Zandschulp 6-3 6-1 to book the quarterfinals.
It was always going to be a tough matchup for the Dutch player whose main weapon is his serve. In such slow conditions, rallies would have been a problem for him as well because Djokovic would get many balls back and that's exactly what had happened.
The start of the match was fair enough as Djokovic was able to create some pressure albeit not much. Botic played confidently and he struck the ball really well to start but it slowly got worse as Djokovic found more cracks in his game.
Eventually the Serbian found a chance and he took it holding serve for the 6-3 finish. The second set was even worse for the Dutch as Djokovic completely smacked him en route to a 6-1 finish. He broke him three times in the second set as Botic won 8 of 21 points on his serve. That's just abysmal but it showed how good the Serbian is playing at the moment.
