Novak Djokovic and
Serena Williams have shared a hotel in Adelaide for a week, but they are still to meet each other due to quarantine restrictions.
Instead of Melbourne, Novak and Serena serve their two-week quarantine period in Adelaide, alongside Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem, Naomi Osaka and Simona Halep. Enjoying considerably better conditions than other players, the top players are not posting much footage from their training sessions, keeping things quiet while knowing how privileged they are in comparison to the rest of the field.
Asked about Serena by her Aussie fans, Novak couldn't say much in his recent radio appearance. Djokovic hasn't seen Williams since they arrived in Adelaide, with every player following strict quarantine measures and spending planned time on the court, in the gym and in their rooms.
Novak and Serena should be among the title favorites at the upcoming Australian Open that starts on February 8, with both winning multiple trophies Down Under.
"I haven't seen Serena, which is weird because we are staying at the same hotel. But we haven't seen each other, obviously because of the restrictions and isolation. I only see people from my team. I know Serena is here and training. I'll send her a message, and hopefully, she can reach out to you guys," Novak Djokovic said.
