Novak Djokovic is facing off against Carlos Alcaraz in the Quarter-Finals of the 2025 Australian Open on Tuesday morning. But is there trouble in paradise for the 24-time Grand Slam champion?

Djokovic seems to be struggling against the Spaniard who defeated him in the final of Wimbledon last year. Albeit the Serbian turned the tables in their last meeting at the Olympic Games.

But the all conquering Djokovic who has won this title 10-times had to leave the court just as Alcaraz was serving for the opening set. Alcaraz broke and Djokovic immediately left for an off court medical time out just before he served for it.

He called the trainer during his 4-4 service game and was struggling when moving to his right side as he left the court. When he returned, Alcaraz served the set out. Of course there are still two to go at least for the Spaniard to seal the win, but this early in the match seeing Djokovic with issues could spell problems.

He is usually the master though of coming through scares in terms of injury and usually when he leaves for a medical time out, he returns with a vengeance and throws the kitchen sink at a match. So either there will be a response or there really is a problem if Alcaraz continues to run riot. Or of course in the event of a retirement from Djokovic's side. The winner will be favourite to take on Jannik Sinner in the final and will face Alexander Zverev next.

Zverev took down Tommy Paul earlier this morning and said that the tie between Djokovic and Alcaraz was boring jokingly when the crowd have seen Zverev v Paul which was all action and perhaps a missed opportunity for the American. But has Djokovic missed an opportunity at number 25? Time will tell.
