Serbia's team which didn't include Novak Djokovic at the Davis Cup certainly didn't cover themselves in glory as the side lost to Denmark in a dramatic comeback win for the side led by Holger Rune.

Elmer Moller in particular defeated Hamed Medjedovic to produce epic celebrations inside the Royal Arena in Copenhagen. But it seemed Serbia didn't like it too much as they stormed off without a handshake.

A fact that wasn't lost on those who were watching on and voiced their displeasure on social media about the situation in particular at Medjedovic and captain Troicki.

As a result of this, Djokovic and Serbia have to wait to add to their 2010 Davis Cup triumph. They will move down to World Group I, where they will play a tie in September. Djokovic was due to play this week but with injury, he couldn't be involved. This led to a makeshift outfit and one that nearly excelled until they didn't in this case.

“Medjedovic, coach [Viktor] Troicki, and the entire team sprint off the court without a handshake after being knocked out by a mind-blowing Danish comeback. No class," one social media user wrote.

“No handshake? Classless!” one exclaimed.

In particular Victor Troicki who had some harsh words about Tony Jones and the Novak Djokovic Australian Open drama didn't leave covered with glory as he was criticised.

Another added, “Troicki went away to the bench. Bad loser.”

“Disgusting lack of class from the Serbian team. Pathetic no handshake.”

Even a Serbian fan voiced their discontent and gave their apologies.

“Notice how the Serbs did not stay to shake hands, Moller is looking everywhere to find Medjedovic to shake hands… never seen anything like this.”

“As a Serb, I found that pretty disappointing too. It is a tough loss coming from horrible doubles management, but you gotta stay for moments like this.”
