Former world number one Novak Djokovic is set to feature in two ATP 1000 events in March. The 37-year-old is regarded as the greatest players in the history of men’s tennis in the singles category, having won as many as 24 Grand Slam titles.

Djokovic is currently in Doha where he will face Italy’s Matteo Berrettini in the round of 32. Even before the start of the event, the Serbian legendary tennis star has already confirmed his participation in two ATP 1000 events in March. Those events will be Indian Wells and the Miami Open.

Djokovic has a fabulous record while playing at the Indian Wells where he has lifted the title five times. His first title there was in 2008 where he defeated America’s Mardy Fish in the final with a score of 6-2, 5-7, 6-3. His most recent title in the competition was back in 2016 where he defeated Canada’s Milos Raonic in the final in straight sets with a score of 6-2, 6-0. Last year, Djokovic lost in the round of 32 to Italy’s Luca Nardi with a score of 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.

Djokovic’s record at the Miami Open is even better where he lifted the title six times. His first title in the competition was in 2007 where he defeated Argentina’s Guillermo Canas in the final with a score of 6-3, 6-2, 6-4. His last title in Miami was back in 2016 when he defeated Japan’s Kei Nishikori in the final in straight sets with a score of 6-3, 6-3. Last year, the Belgrade-born star did not feature in the Miami Open in order to prepare for the bigger tournaments in the summer including the French Open, Wimbledon and the Paris Olympics.
