Novak Djokovic played his second match at the
World Tennis League in Dubai and he won it but it was not enough for his team to secure the final.
Djokovic faced a tricky task in this one as he needed to smash Ofner in order to give his team a chance to make the final but he didn't. The first set opened with Djokovic taking an early break but he lost focus a little bit and allowed Ofner to fight back. The Austrian found a very good rhythm after that and held his own pretty well.
We ended up in a tiebreak with the Austrian taking it 7-5 against all odds. Djokovic wasn't happy with the way that went and he quickly responded by smashing his opponent 6-0 in the second set. The final set was a match tiebreak played until 10 and it was Djokovic who squeezed out a win in that situation.
A valiant effort from Djokovic in the end but it was not enough for his team to overcome the whole the team dug itself into after the first two matches.
