Novak Djokovic won't play doubles in Tel Aviv as partner Erlich pulls out

Novak Djokovic and Jonathan Erlich pulled out of the Tel Aviv doubles event awarding Arends and Stevens a walk-over victory.

About 45 minutes ago news came out that Jonathan Erlich pulled out of the doubles event with local Israeli media reporting that Erlich injured himself in practice. He and Djokovic were supposed to play because Djokovic won his only doubles trophy partnering Erlich many years ago and the Israeli player was going to retire at this event.

He won't do so after a match it seems as he injured himself and was forced to abandon those plans. Serbian reporter Sasa Ozmo reported that Djokovic would still be playing doubles with another partner but it seems like he wasn't able to find a doubles partner in such a short time hence why Arends and Stevens moved on with a walkover.
