Danish tennis star Holger Rune has been competing without his signature round at the 2023 Swiss Indoors in Basel, prompting speculation by fans and a humorous response by Ivan Ljubicic. former coach of Roger Federer.

Rune jokes about not losing his hair, Ljubicic responds

The topic of Rune's missing cap was brought up in his post-match victory, with the Danish star giving a sincere yet jovial explanation.
"Yeah it’s a good question, so it’s very, you know for those that don’t know it’s extremely hot in this arena so yesterday after the first set there was like I was sweating a lot and you know I had to control it all the time so I was like you know why not let’s play without it and see what happens," he said.
"You know it’s nothing I am superstitious but I mean it’s working pretty well, I get that…you know it’s good to get some air for the hair as well if you wanna have hair when you’re fifty, so yeah, I am enjoying myself."
Upon hearing Rune's comments, Ljubicic, who sported a bald head during most of his career, was quick to join in on the fun.
"Ok. I will start taking my hat off too then," tweeted the Croatian.
