Alexander Zverev and
Daniil Medvedev played a very heated clash at the
Monte-Carlo Masters and it ended with a very chilly handshake that Mark Petchey called artics.
The players don't seem to like each other at least they don't right now with Medvedev and Zverev both having some words for the other after the match. Zverev was pretty open in his criticisms of Medvedev while the Russian kind mocked Zverev a little bit in the interview after the match. The handshake certainly was chilly and it barely qualifies as one with Zverev clearly not interested in any kind of proper exchange after the match:
Pethcey reacted to it on social media writing:
"Should be an award for the freshest handshake of the year. The Zverev/Medvedev will be Top 5 Year endZ On the scale of cold that was arctic 🥶"
