The organisers of bett1 Aces which is set to take place in Berlin said they are considering withdrawing Alexander Zverev entirely from proceedings.
Zverev has been vehemently criticised for partying; after previously pledging to follow self isolating guidelines. This was after the collapse of Novak Djokovic's Adria Tour. Now, the German is supposed to play at the
bett1 Aces in Berlin.
They said that they will either make him follow the guidelines; or cancel his contract entirely. As well as that the decision is yet to be taken.
"I could say 'Sascha (Zverev), I take your behaviour as a breach of contract'. I have not yet decided," Weindorfer told Munich-based newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung.
"The second option is that I say: 'Sascha, you will get another chance from us; but here (in Berlin) you have very clear rules of conduct'."
"We have zero tolerance. If a player misbehaves and thinks they can party that week; we will remove that player," Weindorfer added.
"There will be no player party, no children's (coaching) clinic; no events programme; it's all been crossed off."
