After a brief working relationship, the reunion between tennis player Frances Tiafoe and coach Diego Moyano has come to and end. The pair, who had worked together previously when Moyano was a USTA coach, had recently announced their partnership in December.
Tiafoe has accrued a 10-8 record this season, with his best performance coming as runner-up to compatriot Ben Shelton in Houston last week. Formerly a top 10 player, Tiafoe has seen his ATP ranking slide to his current position of World No.23. After their reunion last December, Tiafoe dubbed their partnership as a "full circle moment" while Moyano proclaimed he was "so excited, motivated, and with a lot of responsibility for this great challenge ahead of us."
The Argentine coach took to Instagram to express his gratitude at working with Tiafoe. Furthermore, he wished the 25-year old well in his blossoming career.
"I have no doubt that you’ll continue to shine in your tennis career, and I’ll be cheering you on every step of the way," Moyano continued. "Thank you for trusting me to be a part of your journey. Wishing you nothing but the best in all your future endeavors."
