After a strong week of tennis in Paris, we have arrived at Sunday when the Final will take place and it will be Daniil Medvedev taking on
Alexander Zverev.
Even though it's not the flashiest of finals these two players were the best players in Paris this past week and that is why they are in the finals. The
Paris Masters usually delivers quite a bit of surprise and even though there won't be a Nadal in the final, no one can deny that it's an enticing match. Medvedev found himself in the final after he played an event where his form improved as the matches went on. He only dropped one set against De Minaur en route to the final. In the rest of the matches, he was hardly contested.
His opponent in the final Zverev had a similar experience winning most of the matches with ease except the one against Mannarino against whom he had to play three sets. Zverev entered the event with an 8-match winning streak and he has extended it to 12 matches in Paris. He has been playing very good especially when serving, allowing little to nothing on his own serve.
This will be a very interesting match especially since one player entered the event in great form while the other found it during this event. They played six times so far in their careers and Zverev leads 5-1. The odds don't favour either player over the other so it seems that many expect a close match that could easily go in three sets. Either way, it's going to be a great match and we will be watching. The final is set to start 15:00 CET.
