Holger Rune recently parting ways with renown coach
Patrick Mouratoglou, the Danish star still visits the Frenchman's tennis academy in Monte Carlo, according to Rune's mother, Aneke Rune.
Mouratoglou, who has coached the likes of Serena Williams and Simona Halep, began working with Rune in 2022, during which the Danish youngster captured the biggest title of his career at the 2022 Paris Masters after beating Novak Djokovic in the final. However, the duo parted ways in August 2023.
Rune still a regular at Mouratoglou academy, according to Aneke
In an appearance on The Craig Shapiro Tennis Podcast, Aneke rune revealed her son still visits the Patrick Mouratoglou Academy in Monte Carlo, despite the duo splitting up last year. Furthermore, she stated there was still a chance of a reunion, as they wanted to keep all possibilities open.
"He (Holger) goes back to mentioning Patrick (Mouratoglou) because Patrick is an amazing coach and he did some very good results with him," disclosed Aneke Rune. "However we end up in the future, I don't know. It's not my decision. I don't know what Holger is feeling on court. Let's see what the future brings."
