Whilst the Cincinnati Open began on Monday with minimal first round play, the schedule fully begins on Tuesday 13 August in Mason, Ohio. Our preview looks ahead to the leading lights involved in Day Two.
On Centre Court, it mainly features American talent with Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton who will face Reilly Opelka both in action. But Bianca Andreescu will also lead the way in the headline tie of Day Two.

Fritz, Shelton-Opelka, Tiafoe, Musetti-Jarry among men's highlights

In terms of men's highlights, they are everywhere you look in Mason on Tuesday with Zhizhen Zhang starting off proceedings on Grandstand against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. The young Frenchman continues to improve and with his weapon of a serve is a real star to watch for the future.
Frances Tiafoe showed glimmers of form in Washington under new coach David Witt and as he looks to defend a myriad of points going into the latter half of the US swing. He will hope to continue that on as he takes on Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in his opener also on Grandstand. Arthur Fils v Brandon Holt is the other tie on that court to watch. While further afield are also a few more standout ties before we get to the Centre Court.
Lorenzo Musetti returns after Olympic success.
Lorenzo Musetti returns after Olympic success.
Olympic medalist Lorenzo Musetti returns to action in a quality clash with Nicolas Jarry third on the Holcim Stadium 3. This is in a trio of men's matches with Marcos Giron opening against Sebastian Baez, Alex Michelsen follows along against Tallon Griekspoor after that. Also to watch is the return of Jiri Lehecka after long mooted injury issues. He faces Mariano Navone.
Alejandro Tabilo faces Luciano Darderi, while Jordan Thompson will take on Ugo Humbert. All three flank Court 4 on Tuesday. Over on Centre Court is Ben Shelton. He complained about a player parking in his spot to begin his Cincinnati week in a hilarious video.
Now it is down to business though and he will face Reilly Opelka who returned earlier this summer and has tapered off after starring in Newport. Albeit he has been getting wins in every tournament so it hasn't been barren to say the least. They face off to conclude the day session. While the Night Session features another home hero as Taylor Fritz takes part in an all American clash with Brandon Nakashima. Some top viewing on Tuesday.

Andreescu, Svitolina lead WTA line-up

While we head onto the WTA line-up which features Bianca Andreescu who will aim to bounce back from Canadian disappointment when she opens up albeit in a tough test.
She faces Elina Avanesyan. A player on the rise who lost in the final round of qualifying to Harriet Dart but got in as a lucky loser. Given the bad luck that Andreescu has had since Wimbledon, it could be a tough night at the office.
She seemed to get injured at the Olympic Games and then broke down in tears in her press conference after an early loss in Montreal. But Andreescu is known to thrive on these surfaces and truth betold usually puts her disappointment behind her very quickly. Proof will certainly be in the pudding though.
Donna Vekic is back after Olympic success.

Elsewhere, Donna Vekic returns after being Olympic silver medalist. She faces Ashlyn Krueger. Elina Svitolina will take on Yafan Wang. Both are on Grandstand on Tuesday. While there is a British feel too. Dart like alluded to battled through qualifying and now has Yulia Putintseva in her sights last up on Holcim Stadium 3.
Prior to her is a player who she is known not to get on with albeit is her compatriot in Katie Boulter who she beat at Wimbledon. She takes on Magda Linette. Ajla Tomljanovic, Anastasia Potapova, Daria Kasatkina and Lulu Sun are also in action on Tuesday.
Many of the big names due to byes and scheduling won't fully play until Wednesday or Thursday. But the line-up has still produced.
