Casper Ruud will play Matteo Berrettini in the Gstaad final after beating
Albert Ramos easily 6-2 6-0 in the 2nd semifinal.
Ruud played in the Gstaad final last year as well winning the trophy in the end but this time around it will be much tougher. The Norwegian returned to form in the Swiss city after a bad outing in Bastad last week. His opponent today was Albert Ramos and he largely was no match getting beaten in only 63 minutes. It was the easiest match Ruud played all week which is quite lucky for him as it was the semifinal.
Ramos was simply unable to stay with Ruud in rallies as the Norwegian dominated with his powerful forehand. Ruud also served well setting himself up for an easy finish in most points. Ramos had some success on Ruud's 2nd serve in the opening set but he was unable to build upon that and give himself many chances.
The 2nd set was even poorer than the Spaniard as he won only 3 points on his own serve in three service games. His serve also completely abandoned him which was the reason for the quick finish in the 2nd set. Just a superb performance from Ruud who is back in the final.
