Despite suffering a third round loss at this week's Monte-Carlo Masters, Sebastian Korda continues to show great signs of improvement and he credits this to his extensive coaching team.
The American played one of the matches of his life to defeat Miami champion Carlos Alcaraz in the second round, and spoke on the benefits of having his father, retired player Petr Korda, and tennis legend Andre Agassi in his coaching corner.
"Yeah, I’ve got a lot of great people in my corner," admitted the 21-year old. "I’ve got my dad and my coach, Dean Goldfine, Andre Agassi.”
Petr Korda and Agassi are both former Grand Slam champions, in addition to sitting at or near the top of the ATP rankings during their respective careers. Addressing the experience that the two bring on the table, Korda said, “I have got a lot of knowledge and a lot of experience in my corner. So it’s a lot of great talks, and I try and take in as much as possible, yeah, try to use it the way I can.”
The NextGen star is expected to next participate at the Barcelona Open.
