Sebastian Korda's season has come to an end prematurely after the best year of his career thus far. He has undergone elbow surgery likely hoping to be back in early 2025.
Korda has experienced his best reaching the top 15. He claimed a historic ATP 500 title and was the first to win it after his father did at the Washington Open. He reached the semi-finals at the National Bank Open and sealed his second career top five win.
As a result, he reached the top 15. He last played at the US Open where he lost in three sets in the second round in New York to Tomas Machac. The Czech ace saw him off 6-4, 6-2, 6-4.
"Hi everyone, I wanted to update you all—I’ve been dealing with some elbow issues and my team and I decided surgery was the best option. Everything went great, and I can’t wait to be back on court soon. Thanks for all your support!," said Korda on Instagram.
