Secrets behind Federer's Rolex at Met Gala: "Timeless elegance to my look"

Despite his retirement from tennis last year, Roger Federer keeps popping up in the media as the former World No.1 was seen at the 2023 Met Gala, an event which he co-hosted.

Federer was dressed in an elegant Gucci suit, and sported a brand new Rolex. The Swiss Maestro has been an ambassador for the famous watch brand during his 20-year career, one of many endorsements that keep's the 41-year old as one of the highest paid athletes even after his retirement.

The Rolex worn by Federer is the Perpetual 1908, a new formal watch that has its roots in the Submariner, Daytona and GMT-Master lines. Federer wore a white gold and black dial version of the 1908 at the Met Gala, the first time that version has been displayed in public.

The 1908 is Rolex's first all-new model since the launch of the Sky-Dweller in 2012. It replaces the now discontinued Cellini. The 1908 is the first in the Perpetual collection to focus on more traditional models. In addition to Federer's white gold version, the piece is available in white gold with a white dial and yellow gold with a black and white dial.
