The semi-final Schedule of Play had been confirmed for the Chile Open in Santiago with games taking place this evening.
First up in the Schedule of Play is Casper Ruud who will take on Albert Ramos-Vinolas. The Norwegian will face the Spaniard and is only two wins away from claiming a second ATP Tour Level crown in a month.
Ruud claimed victory in Buenos Aires and went two wins away by seeing off Federico Delbonis 7-5, 7-5. It continues the rise for the highly touted prospect.
His opponent Ramos-Vinolas has major pedigree on clay but despite being up in the seedings is not the player he was. Still though he edged past Thiago Monteiro in a 6-4, 6-4 victory.
He only won four more points than his opponent, but he saved two of the three break points he faced to advance.
They will play the winner of Thiago Seyboth Wild who ended the unbeaten streak of Cristian Garin due to the latter retiring with a leg injury. Now the Brazilian prospect is into his first ATP semi final after a remarkable run in Santiago.
He will take on Renzo Olivo who also continued his great run by seeing off Hugo Dellien who impressed throughout his run but lost out to the World No.297. An interesting night awaits in the capital.
