After defeating South Africa 3-0 and France 2-1, Serbia had the lust hurdle at the 2020 ATP Cup ahead of them as they faced Chile.

In the first match of a tie in Brisbane, Dusan Lajovic faced Nicolas Jarry. After making life a little bit more complicated for Djokovic when Lajovic lost to Paire, now he was no wrong again. Lajovic added his 2nd victory at the ATP Cup to give Serbia 1-0 lead as he defeated Jarry 6-2, 7-6.
World number 2, Djokovic had it all on his shoulders once again. And he did not let his fans down for the fourth time in a row. After victories over Anderson, Monfils, and victory in doubles against France he has added the victory over Christian Garin from Chile. Djokovic defeated the 33rd man in the ranking 6-3, 6-3 and Serbia could celebrate the 3rd point in the group stage.
Nicola Cacic & Viktor Troicki still faced Nicolas Jarry & Alejandro Tabilo in doubles, as at the ATP Cup every match is important due to prize money and points awarded for the ATP Ranking. But this match could not change anything in the tie between Serbia and Chile. The duo from Chile won this match 6-3, 7-6 and so the tie ended 2-1 for Serbia.
