Shapovalov receives love from girlfriend Mirjam Bjorklund after Alcaraz loss: "Always the best in my eyes"

Following
his elimination at Roland Garros, Denis Shapovalov's girlfriend, Mirjam
Bjorklund, showed her support at the French Open.
The
Canadian player suffered a tough defeat in the third round of the 2023 French
Open against world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz. In the match held on Philippe Chatrier
court, 'Shapo' only won seven games in three sets, managing to win only five
out of twelve service games.
Despite the
Spanish player being the favorite and Shapovalov not being a clay court
specialist, he appeared particularly erratic, committing ten double faults and
thirty-nine unforced errors.
His
girlfriend, Swedish tennis player Mirjam, was there supporting him from the
court and posted an Instagram story to show her support for her boyfriend:
"Always the best in my eyes," she wrote with a picture of the court,
Mirjam has
been in a relationship with Shapovalov since 2019 and also participated in the
qualifying rounds of Roland Garros, falling in the decisive match to enter the
main draw against Danish player Clara Tauson.
