Pam Shriver thinks Carlos Alcaraz winning a lot this year made the younger players realize they can do it too.
With Federer's retirement happening not long ago, it's pretty clear that tennis is entering a new era. Carlos Alcaraz winning a grand slam and becoming world number one only further confirmed that and Pam Shriver thinks that is what made the younger players like Auger-Aliassime and Rune realize they can do it too.
She reacted to the recent sucess of the two players by writing on Twitter:
