Hubert Hurkacz was playing a really strong match at the Monte-Carlo Masters however Jannik Sinner was able to endure that and turn it around in his favour 3-6 7-6(6) 6-1.
Hubert Hurkacz was a proper wall in the first set of his match against Jannik Sinner sending a lot of balls back. He served well and was aggressive enough to handle Sinner and his attacking style of play. The first set ended 6-3 in his favour because he played the crucial rallies better.
The serve allowed him to save all break points he faced and he had 11 winners to go along with that. The second set was a major one because Hurkacz kept up the very high play pushing Sinner very hard. The Italian lost his serve but then managed to break back which started to turn things around.
Sinner was finding more and more solutions however he only got it done in the tiebreak. He was quite lucky to get it done because Hurkacz played it well overall but Sinner risked a lot and it paid off. The final set however was a no contest because the Italian dominated. Hurkacz's serve disappeared and that was the end of it.
