"Some say I don’t fit in here……. I show them my resume": Kyrgios returns to Wimbledon despite injury doubts

Despite some injury concerns, Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has announced his return to the tour and will be competing at next week's Wimbledon Championships.

The former World No.13 finished runner-up to Novak Djokovic at last year's event, and is always a threat when playing on grass. However, Kyrgios has not played in a Grand Slam match since last year's US Open, as the Aussie has been dealing with several injuries.

The 28-year old attempted a comeback in Stuttgart earlier this month, but lost in the opening round. He would withdraw from the Halle Open the following week citing injury, but appears ready to make another comeback as he's scheduled to compete in London.

Kyrgios announced his intentions with a social media post, sending a warning out to this doubters and opponents.

"Some say I don’t fit in here……. I show them my resume," read the caption.

Wimbledon begins on July 3, 2023.
