Injury struggles continue for
Stan Wawrinka as the Swiss player suffered another setback in his recovery and won't play till April.
The news was confirmed by his manager who spoke to a Swiss newspaper about the recovery of the former grand slam champion. Wawrinka has not played since March of this year with his final match being at the Doha Open in Qatar. Since then Wawrinka battled injuries and even underwent surgery to try and fix the problem but the recovery has been a slow one.
Now with another setback, he is set to miss even more time targeting a return after the Sunshine Double in America. Of the major events, Wawrinka will miss the Australian Open, the Indian Wells Masters, and the Miami Masters. His return is expected for late March or early April at the earliest according to the manager. Hopefully, there won't be any more setbacks and Wawrinka will be able to return to regular play.
