The Greek is looking really strong so far at the
Australian Open as he crushed Rinky Hijikata in three sets 6-3 6-0 6-2 to secure the 3rd round of the event.
Tsitsipas entered this match as a huge favourite but many thought that the Australian would be able to make things interesting. It didn't happen as Tsitsipas largely cruised in the match picking his spots when to do so. It seemed like he could have won any point at any time as he was that much better.
He served really well and had plenty of variety in his game but did most of his damage with the forehand. Hijikata simply could not handle it and when Tsitsipas used volleys and added some more variety it was game over. The Greek had 7 aces and 30 winners overall with only 17 unforced errors so far.
Not much else to add, Tsitsipas is once again showing that he loves to play tennsi in Australia.
