Sloane Stephens selected two Americans that she believes will be the next breakout stars on the WTA Tour.
The WTA Tour is not lacking any talents with several young players ready to take the next step next year but Sloane Stephens has her own picks. The American player has been around some of these younger Americans players and she believes two of them are destined to be great players.
21-year-old Alycia Parks and 20-year-old Katie Volynets are her picks for a major breakout next year. Both are ranked outside of the top 100 currently but Stephens believes both will be ranked inside the top 100 next year.
She said it during a Q and A session when a fan asked her about US players who will break out in 2023. Stephens replied while tagging Parks and Volynets:
"My two girls. Big year for them coming up. You heard it here first."
