Taylor Fritz was forced to abandon his plans of playing in Madrid due to a foot injury and now he's out of Rome as well.
Taylor Fritz has had a few injuries over the year but the most recent one is coming at a very bad time in the season. He was forced to abandon plans to play at the Madrid Masters due to a foot injury and now the same injury is preventing him to play in Rome as well. It's not clear how severe the injury is and how long he will be out but with the French Open so close the American might be targetting that event instead.
The last event he played at was the Monte-Carlo Masters where he had a very solid run taking down several notable opponents before bowing out of the event. The American has enjoyed a stellar campaign in 2022 being ranked inside the top 10 for the ATP race thanks to the winning run in Indian Wells earlier in the year.
