Despite being a former World No.1 and multiple Grand Slam Champion,
Carlos Alcaraz remains humble in his efforts as he admitted that he isn’t on the same level as Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
The next generation is often a discussion between Alcaraz, Sinner and Rune before eventually Djokovic and Nadal finally retire but the Spaniard doesn’t see the status of the big names changing for now.
He kicked off his Argentina Open Buenos Aires campaign albeit with not the greatest win against Camilo Carabelli and he will play his second match later today in a tournament he will be expected to win.
"I don't consider myself a star, I consider myself a very good player," he said after the match, as per Marca.
"For me, the stars are Djokovic, Rafa and Federer, and some others out there. I have achieved great things, but I still have a long way to go to be one.”
