Former tennis player Noah Rubin recently explained why prime
Stan Wawrinka was one of the scariest players on Tour which lead him to 3 grand slam trophies.
Wawrinka hit his peak fairly late in his tennis career closer to age 30 than age 25 but he still managed to win three grand slams beating the likes of Djokovic in the final. That's incredibly impressive as there are not many players who were able to win a grand slam in the big three era let lone three.
Former player Rubin voiced his opinion on Wawrinka on social media writing:
"There haven't been many scarier tennis players than a prime Stan Wawrinka. It nearly didn't matter how you played that day, it was his match. Under appreciated."
The veteran recently returned to the top 100 with a goal of returning to the top 30 as well.
